The Emory Biological Discovery through Chemical Innovation (BDCI) initiative will host a retreat and brainstorming session on Aug. 9. Interested faculty are invited to present a two-slide presentation about their research and collaborations they would like to develop within this theme.

The goal of the BDCI initiative is to develop a research network in the multidisciplinary area at the interface between chemistry and human health to catalyze and accelerate discovery of biological principles and development of next generation of effective and safe therapeutics and diagnostic agents.

8:30     Coffee

9:00     Overview of the BDCI: Plans and Aspirations (Huw Davies and Haian Fu)

9:30     Short presentations by faculty (3-5 min each)

10:30   Coffee Break and informal discussions

11:00   Short presentations by faculty (3-5 min each)

12:00   Lunch and informal discussions

Faculty are invited to give a presentation consisting of two slides total: one slide illustrating their research and one slide illustrating the type of collaborative connections they would like to engage within the BDCI.
