Palliative and supportive oncology helps patients and their caregivers with the emotional, psychosocial, physical and spiritual aspects of dealing with a cancer
diagnosis and treatment.

In this live webinar, Winship specialists Kimberly Curseen, MD and Ali Zarrabi, MD will discuss the role of supportive and palliative oncology in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Dr. Curseen is the director and the primary provider for the Supportive Oncology Clinic at Winship. She is part of the clinic team providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care for patients with cancer at any point in their disease process, and assisting patients with complex decision making.

Dr. Zarrabi provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care for patients living with serious illness. His research involves developing models of care to address the unmet needs of seriously ill patients – specifically pain, addiction, and emotional suffering – and examining how these interventions can improve patients' quality of life.

Webinar is intended for referring physicians, community oncologists and healthcare professionals.
