Symposium theme: Scientific Innovation Driving Clinical Impact at Winship
The annual Winship Scientific Symposium highlights the outstanding research of Winship investigators, deepens our understanding of important topics, and creates opportunities to cultivate collaboration. Centered on the theme, Scientific Innovation Driving Clinical Impact at Winship, the 2026 symposium will bring together leading researchers from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University to showcase groundbreaking discoveries and their translation into improved patient outcomes. The symposium serves as a platform for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, sharing innovative research findings, and identifying opportunities for joint projects that advance cancer science and accelerate clinical impact.

Deadline to Submit an Abstract: October 7, 2026 at 5 pm. Note that there are a limited number of poster presentation slots, so please register early to secure your spot.
Eligibility: Students and trainees associated with Winship-affiliated investigators are encouraged to submit an abstract for poster presentation when they register. All cancer-related abstracts submitted by eligible presenters will be invited to participate in the poster competition.
Submission Requirements: Abstracts should be text only (no figures or images please) and should not exceed 300 words. Include the abstract title and the names and affiliations of each author.
Poster Dimensions: For the poster session, the preferred poster printing size is 36 inches high by 42 inches wide or smaller. Please do not exceed this size. Each participant will have a bulletin board space that is 45" x 45".
Poster Reception and Competition: The poster reception and competition will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the Mountain Laurel and Hickory rooms at the Emory Conference Center Hotel.
Prizes: Poster Presenters are welcome to leave after their poster has been judged. Prizes will be awarded to the top-scoring poster presenters a few days after the event.
