Course Overview
This 4-day live educational symposium is specifically designed to address educational gaps regarding the treatment of patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. This engaging program will feature didactic lectures, debates of controversial issues, and discussion of challenging clinical cases. The meeting format and all related activities provide ample opportunities for attendees to engage presenters and colleagues in discussion throughout the meeting. Presentations and debates will focus on current basic and clinical research, including the use of molecularly targeted therapy and novel therapeutic approaches. This program will provide participants with valuable insight from the experts on best practices for management of each tumor type, with the ultimate goal of improving patient care.

Target Audience
The proposed educational activity is specifically designed to meet the needs of practicing medical oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Participation in this interactive activity will help learners achieve the following competencies (the relevant subset of the Association of American Medical Colleges’ recently adopted Reference List of General Physician Competenciesreflecting the skills required of clinicians to meet the ever-changing needs of the health care system and the public)6:
Provide patient-centered care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective
