The Updates in the Management of Advanced Thyroid Cancer Symposium will provide practitioners with information regarding nationally acceptable standards for the treatment of thyroid cancer. The symposium will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Hotel Colee in Atlanta Buckhead.
Details
The American Thyroid Association thyroid cancer guidelines have recently undergone three sets of changes. Two examples of these changes include active surveillance for thyroid cancer and the use of molecular diagnostics for indeterminant thyroid nodules. There are also major advances in the use of multi-kinase inhibitors for thyroid cancer, and in the non-surgical management of thyroid nodules/cancer.
Utilizing engaging lectures and interactive panels, this in-person symposium is designed to improve the care of patients with thyroid cancer by providing up to date didactics on the workup, management and surveillance of suspicious thyroid nodules and thyroid cancers.
OBJECTIVES
Explain recent American Thyroid Association new guidelines for management of well differentiated thyroid cancers;
Diagnose, treat, and manage thyroid cancer patients;
Improve patient satisfaction with multidisciplinary care and compliance with treatment.
