Attendees will benefit from an intimate learning environment and the opportunity to meet and learn from local, national and internationally recognized oncology leaders.
Presentations and breakout sessions will explore current research and trends in oncology nursing practice.
Participants will gain insight and strategies to translate evidence-based learning into clinical practice.
Dr. Jessica MacIntyre is the president of the Oncology Nursing Society and an assistant vice president at the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami. She also serves as an APRN and the director of the Oncology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program at the University of Miami. She earned her DNP and MBA from Johns Hopkins University. With over 20 years of experience in oncology nursing and leadership, she has been actively involved in local and national organizations, serving on various leadership boards, including the American Cancer Society, and as past president of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Miami-Dade, Inc.
Dr. MacIntyre's areas of expertise encompass advanced practice, patient navigation, survivorship and supportive care. She is also a principal investigator in research focusing on oral treatment adherence, patient-reported outcomes, cancer prevention, digital healthcare tools and cancer survivorship clinic outcomes.
